I made it.
At a friend's house in New Rochelle, north of the city. The skyline of Lower Manhattan has changed. After 13 years there is finally something in place of the WTC.

Today will be a day of lounging, a choir recital, eating bbq, watching the Liverpool game, wowing kids with the art of photography. There are three here, all adorable. We had fun yesterday, telling ghost stories. The youngest wanted to watch Ghostbusters on my phone, which I let her do, then we searched the house looking for said ghosts. We found none.
